The Skier's Lodge - Chamonix
Welcome. The Skier's Lodge is ideally located in the World Cup Ski Circuit venue of Les Houches, which is one of the ski areas that make up the resorts of the Chamonix Valley. Under the fabulous panorama of the Mont-Blanc chain, with soaring peaks and sweeping glaciers, our chalet is in a privileged position - right on the downhill piste so you can ski to the door! - and just a short 200m level walk to the cable car and four-man chair lift. Our chalet welcomes individuals, couples, families and friends, and can also accommodate groups of up to 20 people. We provide a 'Fully Catered' service throughout the winter and during the summer Bed & Breakfast is available with an optional evening dinner on request. The chalet has all the modern facilities that you would expect, together with plenty of home comforts to help make your stay a little bit more special. See the race, and our chalet, live on Eurosport and also on Channel 4! 12th December 2007 **HEAVY SNOWFALL** Overnight 50cms fell at village level and over 1 metre at 2000m. Grand Montets is open. Les Houches and Flegere open on Saturday 15th December! The conditions are fabulous at the moment with loads of fresh powder and under blue skies! 4th December 2007 **SNOWFALL** Overnight more snow, 25-40cms at 1800m and 8cms on the valley floor. Grand Montets is already open for skiing on the Weekends with more areas in the valley to follow. Watch this space! 14th November 2007 **HEAVY SNOWFALL** Overnight a further 25c
10th November 2007 The first snowfall arrived yesterday on the valley floor! With 20cms forecast for Sunday, 10cms more on Monday and a further weather-front bringing more snow on Wednesday the base is already being laid for a good start to the season! 1st November 2007 Bookings are now coming in fast for this winter season so make sure you don't miss out! Work is well underway on the 3 new chairlifts and they're on schedule to be ready for the start of this season. There's also a new state-of-the-art snowpark for snowboarders with lots of jumps and rails for both beginners and experts alike. Fantastic News! It has been confirmed that Les Houches is being linked with St. Gervais over the next two years. With the building of 4 new ski lifts including a new gondola and 2 chairlifts. Creating a linked ski area larger than the Portes-du-Soleil, 'Espace Diamant' will link Les Houches, St. Gervais, Megeve, Les Contamines, Praz- sur-Arly, Crest Voland and Les Saises.
