We have our own 29 seat coach!

 

  • We can provide from Geneva Airport to Les Houches at a cost of 38€ each-way per person. We provide two transfers on change-over day: Mid-morning and Mid-afternoon. To use our service you need to book an afternoon flight into Geneva and a morning flight back home. Please avoid the 06.50am Easyjet flight home though! Outside of these times we may use an agency which will bring you to the door for a small additional supplement. Please note that transfers are often shared necessitating a short wait (or others may be waiting for you!) unless the whole coach is booked by one party.
  • Our coach is also available to take you to a different ski area each day. A small charge is made for this service.
  • Transport into Chamonix in the evenings can also be provided with a return at a pre-arranged time.

 

 

Informal, Relaxed & Fun!

 

  • The friendly atmosphere of our 'house parties' make our chalet the perfect place to relax with family and friends, meet new people and enjoy ski-ing in an atmosphere that is fun! - And home from home - Without the chores!
  • Our menus are prepared by your chalet hosts and here is  just a taste of the treats in store:
  • Breakfast: Yogurts, muesli, cornflakes, porridge, toast, ham, cheese, jam, fresh pain-au-chocolate, fresh croissants, selection of teas, and coffee.
  • Afternoon Tea: On returning from a hard days ski-ing you will find cake, sandwiches and nibbles waiting for you.
  • Evening Dinner: Normally served at 7.00pm our menus are a set three-course dinner, accompanied by AOC bottled wine, and rounded off with tea or coffee. Please note that we can only cater for Vegetarians and any Special Diets if advised at least two weeks before you holiday.
  • Day Off: Your chalet hosts have one day off each week and on this day breakfast will be laid out ready for you. In the evening you can eat out in the village or Chamonix and sample the local restaurants at your own expense.
  • Chalet Facilities: Hot Tub, Sauna, Wetroom, Lounge/diner, log fire, large terrace, balconies, Bar / Lounge with plasma TV, Video, DVD and Dolby Digital Surround Sound System, beer/wine/spirits on sale, games room, drying room, ski & boot store, ample off-road parking. BOOKING CONDITIONS

We believe that the holiday contract made between us should be clear and concise. We want you to have a happy and carefree holiday and we ask you therefore, to read and note the booking conditions and holiday information as laid down on this page. As we will enter into a contract there are basic responsibilities on both sides. The information given in this section protects us from any misunderstanding. Your payment of the deposit or written booking by e-mail, is taken as acceptance of the booking conditions. The Skier's Lodge is registered in France. SIRET no. 451 215 289 00013.

Payment. Your booking must be accompanied by a deposit of £80 / €120 per person for 7 night holidays or £40 / €60 per person for short breaks. You must pay the balance of your account not less than eight weeks prior to your arrival date. Should we not receive payment by the due date we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled as detailed below.

Cancellation by you. If you have to cancel your holiday, or if we have to cancel your holiday because you have not paid promptly, you will have to pay cancellation charges. This charge is our normal deposit of £80 / €120 per person if you cancel more than ten weeks prior to your arrival. Less than ten weeks prior to arrival is a percentage of the total invoice price (or deposit if greater) including any supplements or transfer costs and is as follows:

More than 10 weeks before:     Loss of deposit.

8 to 10 weeks before:                       40%

6 to 8 weeks before:                         50%

5 to 6 weeks before:                         60%

4 to 5 weeks before:                         70%

3 to 4 weeks before:                         80%

1 to 3 weeks before:                         90%

Under 1 week:                                 100%

If you have paid an 'advance group deposit' for exclusive use of our chalet then the minimum cancellation charge is  £80 / €120 per person calculated on our maximum occupancy of 20 persons. I.e. £1600 / €2400.

Airport transfers. If you have booked our shared airport transfer service, and subsequently decide to cancel this element only of your holiday, then a cancellation fee of 50% of the transfer price will be applied.

Please note that transfers are often shared necessitating a short wait at Geneva Airport (or others may be waiting for you!) unless the whole coach is booked by one party. Departure from our chalet is usually a minimum of 3 hours before your flight time. On occasions it may be substantially earlier giving you free time in Geneva. Therefore, you should not expect to ski on your departure day.

Our Website. The information in this website has been checked by us and to our knowledge is accurate at the time of publication (19.05.07). However, we must draw your attention to the fact there can be occasions when facilities in resort are not available due, for example, to

 

 

weather conditions, breakdown or lack of support. Some facilities may only be available at certain times of the season and our holiday prices take these factors into account. If you feel any of the facilities mentioned are vital to the enjoyment of your holiday please e-mail/write to us immediately and we will tell you the latest known situation.

Room allocation and facilities. Rooms will be allocated on a 'first come-first served' basis. They generaly consist of one double bed or two single beds . Family rooms have a double plus a single or a double plus a set of full-size adult bunks.

Under 18's travelling alone. Parents or guardians must send us a written letter as guarantor stating that they accept total responsibility for the minor whilst on holiday.

Live and let live. While on holiday you do have to consider other people and observe any local rules with what is considered to be acceptable and reasonable behaviour, and your holiday booking is accepted on this understanding. We have to reserve the right however, to refuse admittance and/or re-admittance, either to the mini-coach or the chalet to persons whose behaviour or health is likely to impair the comfort, safety or well-being of other guests. Drunken or aggressive behaviour towards our staff or other guests will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the chalet. If you are excluded for this reason then no compensation is payable and our obligations under this contract will cease.

Damage & Breakage Deposit. Where one group books the whole of our chalet we will require a deposit of €750. This  is to be paid by the group leader by credit/debit card the day before the arrival of your party at our chalet. Individual bookings will not be required to pay a deposit. However, the rest of this paragraph still applies.  Following arrival you should satisfy yourself of the condition of the chalet fixtures, fittings and equipment. We expect our guests to treat the chalet and its contents with respect and consideration. The lead name on the confirmation of booking is reponsible for the conduct of their party. Likewise, parents are responsible for the conduct of their children. Much of the equipment provided is very expensive and difficult to replace and its loss will affect the enjoyment of future guests. In addition, guests are expected to keep their rooms and the communal areas tidy for the ease of cleaning and comfort of all guests. In the event that any breakage or damage occurs, whether accidental or otherwise, you will be invoiced and charged in full for the repair and/or replacement. This can usually be reclaimed from your holiday insurance under the third party liability section. If extra cleaning is required at the end of your stay, due to the condition that your party has left the chalet in, then a minimum charge of €250 will be made. Assuming you leave the chalet in a tidy condition and no damage or breakages have occurred then your deposit will be refunded in full back to your card within 7 days from the end of your holiday.

Force Majeure. We cannot accept responsibility for changes to, or cancellation of, holidays or transfer arrangements caused by events beyond our control. For example, changes caused by: war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, natural disasters, fire, technical problems to transport, closure of airports, closure of roads, adverse weather conditions, heavy snow, avalanche or similar events beyond our control. Similarly, we cannot accept responsibility for any additional accommodation or flight/travel costs or subsequent loss of wages as a result of these events.
